Centurion University of Technology and Management, Andhra Pradesh ("the University", "we", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of prospective and current students. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect during the admissions process, how we use it, and the rights you have regarding your data. By submitting an application or inquiry to the University, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Policy.

Full name, date of birth, and gender
Photograph (passport-size)
Government-issued ID (Aadhaar, PAN, or Passport number)
Nationality and domicile state

Permanent and correspondence address
Mobile number and email address
Parent or guardian contact details
2.3 Academic Records
Class 10 and Class 12 (or equivalent) marksheets and certificates
Entrance examination scores (JEE, EAMCET, CUET, or University-conducted tests)
Transfer certificates and migration certificates where applicable
2.4 Sensitive Personal Data (where required)
Caste and category certificates (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) for reservation purposes
Disability certificates for differently-abled applicants
Income certificates for scholarship and fee waiver assessment

3. Purpose of Data Collection
We collect and process your personal data for the following purposes:
Processing and evaluating your application for admission
Verifying the authenticity of documents and academic credentials
Allocating seats under merit, management, and reserved categories
Communicating admission decisions, offer letters, and fee payment schedules
Processing scholarships, fee concessions, and financial aid
Compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements of UGC, AICTE, and the Government of Andhra Pradesh
Internal academic planning, reporting, and accreditation (NAAC, NBA)
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases: (a) your consent, given at the time of application submission; (b) contractual necessity, where processing is required to fulfil our obligations in the admissions process; (c) legal obligation, to comply with applicable laws and regulations; and (d) legitimate interests of the University in administering academic programmes effectively.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
Government bodies and regulatory authorities (UGC, AICTE, APSCHE, APSCHE) as required by law
National and state scholarship portals (NSP, AP e-Pass) for scholarship processing
Affiliated banks for fee processing and scholarship disbursement
Third-party technology vendors who manage our admission portal, under strict data processing agreements
Accreditation and ranking bodies on an anonymised or aggregated basis
All third parties are required to handle your data in compliance with applicable data protection laws and our data sharing agreements.
6. Data Retention
Application records of unsuccessful candidates are retained for one (1) year after the admissions cycle and then securely deleted. Records of enrolled students are retained for the duration of the academic programme and for a period of five (5) years following completion or exit, as required by regulatory guidelines. Financial records may be retained for up to seven (7) years in accordance with applicable accounting and tax laws.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Our admission portal uses SSL/TLS encryption for data transmission. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised University personnel on a need-to-know basis. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure; we encourage you to protect your login credentials and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
Withdraw consent for optional processing (this will not affect lawfulness of prior processing)
Request erasure of data where there is no lawful basis to retain it
Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority

9. Cookies and Online Tracking
Our admissions portal may use cookies and similar technologies to improve user experience and analyse portal usage. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies; however, some features of the portal may not function correctly without them. We do not use tracking technologies for advertising purposes.
